Air Check Texas Repair and Replacement Assistance Program Drive a Clean Machine

Did your car fail an emissions test? Get up to $3,000 for your Car!

The AirCheckTexas Repair and Replacement Assistance Program is designed to help vehicle owners comply with vehicle emissions standards to reduce ozone-forming pollutants created by on-road motor vehicles. It addresses the highest polluting vehicles and provides an incentive for citizens to contribute to the regional air quality solution. The AirCheckTexas Repair and Replacement Assistance Program expanded to offer more financial assistance to more vehicle owners. Residents of the Dallas-Fort Worth nonattainment counties (Collin, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Johnson, Kaufman, Parker, Rockwall, and Tarrant) may be eligible to receive vouchers for $3,000 toward the purchase of a newer car or truck and $3,500 toward a hybrid vehicle from participating auto dealers. Up to $600 for repair assistance is available.

Vehicles must meet these conditions to apply:

Failed a motor vehicle emissions test within 30 days of applying
Vehicle must be driven under its own power to the repair facility or dealership
Currently registered and has been registered in a participating county for the previous 12 months preceding application
Passed a DPS motor-vehicle safety and emissions inspection within 15 months of application

- OR-

Is 10 years old or older and gasoline powered
Vehicle must be driven under its own power to the dealership
Currently registered and has been registered in a participating county for the previous 12 months preceding application
Passed a DPS motor-vehicle safety inspection (if more than 24 years old) or safety and emissions inspection (if 24 years old or less) within 15 months of application
